Austin S Wilson Hello all, my name is
Austin and I'm a young man in my twenties from Lawrenceville, IL. And I'm never
really good at writing these whole introductory self exclamatory paragraphs. I'm
always somewhat afraid I'm going to come out sounding rather unintelligent with
statements like,"I like fish, art banana, mango tuna!" Which, for some reason
was my most cogent thought at that exact point and time. Alas, back to the point
at hand! As you probably guessed from seeing I have profile on this page I am an
artist. Well, you would have guessed right then my friends. What medium do I
work in you wonder? Well how about anything I can get my hands into! Give me a
pile of cow dung, a dowel rod, two empty coffee cans, and a couple thirty some
odd rubber gloves and I will try to give you a work of art. Actually I probably
should not of have said that because Mike may have a gift and challenge for me
at the gallery now. Anyhow, in all seriousness I do oil painting, acrylics, pen
and ink, sumi-e, drawing, chalks, charcoals, jewelry crafting, carving, and
sculpting....I wonder if I missed anything? Oh yes! I also work in digital
mediums and graphic designs. My artist influences are many, but to name a
few....Dali, Giger, Poe (literature can influence physical art!), Froud, Henson
(yes, I mean Jim), Vasquez, and Ross. So yeah it's kind of like a demented
Goblin Alien Hippie Party is going on in my mind. My current aspiration is to
become a comic book artist, or at least get that comic a friend and I have been
toying around with for a year published. I think that's all I feel like writing
about myself at this moment, I did join etsy recently so check that out my
